MABRC, Team Quantra, and Melissa Hovey

DW Lee of MABRC seems to be benefiting from the team Quantra speculation on a captured Bigfoot. His time to shine and all that. He is also doing a little chest beating to annoy Matt Moneymaker. He clearly is loving his moment.

Arrogance in big game hunting will get you killed, I assure you. Precision of mind is paramont.

I have no inside information on the O-6 Bigfoot capture claimed by Ed Smith. But I'm a little confused. What does Melissa Hovey have to do with this?

Finding Bigfoot evolution

When Animal Planet began running Finding Bigfoot, they never revealed that witnesses may indeed be Bigfoot researchers. Now they do.

In season one there was a couple Bill and Carolyn Bridges of Northern Florida. They claimed a Sasquatch was visiting the home and leaving smudge prints on a glass door. The team measured them and concludes its Bigfoot. Did you know black bears are common in northern Florida?

Did you know the Bridges are regulars ay BFRO events?  The producers of the show did not want you to know that. It would seem to inside.

The show now (last night in the Sierra episode) makes it known if a witness is a Bigfoot researcher. That is good information and its honest.

Ketchum DNA study - many will fall

The photo below is from a Bigfoot researcer in Tennessee who is being worked by the Ketchum study. He is not alone. Why do researchers do this?

Its because they have a vested interest and visions of fame. That makes them part of the hoax. There is no other way around it.

They won't be able to say they were fooled. They were doing the fooling. Many will take the fall. The community should not let this pass.

I need to watch football now but you can mark my words.

Matt Moneymaker is correct

There is nothing in the history of Bigfoot research to suggest it is human. The reason is that nothing human has ever been found. Not one researcher can point to anything found in the woods and say that was a result of human activity.

Early man formed society and culture. Even primitive man made fire and carved tools. They devised hunting skills and basic agricultural abilities. There is nothing to suggest anything like that is going on in the woods of North America.

Crude structures have ben found but they seem to lack any purpose. Perhaps they are territory markers but that is only a guess. Other then that, not much else has been found.

Matt Moneymaker is among the ape theoriest, and for good reason. Bigfoot seems to live on instinct alone.

Take an animal we KNOW exist - deer. You may catch a fleeting glimpse of one and then it is gone. Ever wonder where it goes? Where does it sleep or live? You will never find out. So it is with Bigfoot.

This DNA study does not fly in the face of science because there is no science of Bigfoot. This DNA study flies in the face of decades if Bigfoot research. Many good People have spent years in the woods to develop what we know today. New paradigms are nice. This, however, is bad science.

It can be criticized simply because the people involved are advocates of Bigfoot. They have worked the problem in reverse. Only seeking what will fit your conclusion which was presented up front is Ad-Hoc science. This study will be thrown out on its poor methodology alone.

Perhaps we need a new approach. Perhaps science is the wrong tool in understanding this cryptid. It may very well transend reason, and be something unfamiliar to our expectations.

Unfortunately, the Ketchum study will prove to be just an elaborate hoax. Many will have egg on their face.

Too cute - the youngest Bigfoot researcher

A new Bigfoot researcher - bigfoottracket46 on YouTube - gets his little daughter into the act. He says Bessie loves to do the Bigfoot call. Matt, cliff and Nobody have a new fan.
What big ol hairy guy could resist all this cuteness.

David Paulides claims DNA study close to being released

The DNA samples of the North American Sasquatch seem to have been collected in a scientific manor. They used trail cams to identify the Bigfoot first. Then, they collected the hair it left behind. Scott Carpenter explains this in his blog post and Youtube video. "Dave Paulides, Executive Director of North American Bigfoot Search (NABS), announced today that the Bigfoot DNA Study is "Very Very Close" to a release date. Dave has posted this announcement via his webstite, The Bigfoot Blog #181. I am proud to be apart of this ground breaking team. Through hard work and persistence we were able make this breakthrough were others had failed. We were able to collect multiple hair samples using innovative new methods. One of the still capture photographs below, taken from an infrared trail camera video captured at night, shows one of the probable hair donors."

Is Shawn trying to create intrigue?

I saw the replay of Finding Bigfoot early this morning of the Vermont episode. The thermal scene wad interesting because something could be seen and the team wad noticing it. Now, it seems the claim is they did not notice it. That is coming from the Bigfoot Evidence blog. It was clear on the show they were observing something. What is the confusion?

Bigfoot at a Bigfoot conference

Nick Redfern states that when he was a speaker at a Bigfoot conference in Oklahoma a large creature was seen on the property. Considering most Bigfoot events are at lodges in State parks, is this farfetched?

Provo Canyon Bigfoot

A new video that seems to show a Bigfoot-like beast rearing up in a Utah brush patch is racking up millions of views on the web, but are there any compelling facts in the compelling footage?

Beard Card, the YouTube handle of the man who purportedly filmed the video while camping with his family, says he first hit "record" on his camera to document what he thought was a black bear hiding in the bushes. Indeed, the video's tranquil first half has an off-screen voice whispering, "Do you think it's a bear?"

I, and others believe its a turkey. It became aggressive and the ran. Upon looking at the video they decided they could call it the Provo Bigfoot and exploit it. That is all that's going on. Sorry, no Bigfoot.

Tim Cassidy and the "Sasquatch people"

Tim Cassidy is a wildlife biologist from Indiana who is a believer in Bigfoot and has a certain amount of evidence to support his claims.

Cassidy is the type of guy the Bigfoot world needs. He is smart and a scientist that advocates Sasquatch. His enthusiasm was quite contageous to the young people who attended his talk at the Putnum county library.

He showed cast of the Sasquatch and told the story of how he encountered the creature late night while on a lights out hike around a lake with wildlife students. He related the awful smell it made.

He stated there was more evidence to support Bigfoot then the existence of UFO's. We have scat and hair samples, video, and body cast. Much more then people know. This research is ongoing and one day will yield a discovery.

Spike TV will fail at finding Bigfoot

Will it come to this
The Spike TV offer of ten million dollars to anyone bringing in definitive proof of a Sasquatch is working the solution in reverse. We are only beginning to understand that which people are seeing in the woods. Elusive is only part of the issue. Sasquatch's may not be their at all - at least only part time.

Dr. Bindernagle once said Sasquatch was a matter of physics. Truer words were never spoken. Proof, in this instance, was how you understood proof. Rigid science may not be the correct tool in this instance.

Decades of research have taught us that the Geroge Armstrong Custer approach to researching elusive animals will not work. Posses in the filed, trackers fueled with lust and greed for fame and fortune cannot succeed in finding Bigfoot. Almost all sightings have been accidental. In a fleeting glimpse, a will-o-the-wisp, and it is gone. You cannot track an animal that is not laying down tracks. Arnold and the boys found that out when an ambitious carnivore advanced the laws of physics times ten in front of them. I would like to say "right in front of their eyes." Not to be.

The brilliant Blogsquatcher beleived the clue to finding Bigfoot was the environmental impact of the animal:
"For one thing, bigfoot did not appear to live anywhere.  In other words, there were no locations where the ecological impact of such a large creature in the numbers it would have to have to sustain a population could be detected.  You might find a lone feeding site, a lone bedding site, and maybe a spot where something large had defecated, but the trail would end there.  There would be no further impact to be found on the local ecology.

Indeed there are exceptions to this particular rule -- sometimes a spot is found where a longer habitation seems to have occurred, but even there, you won't find the impact of any quantity of sasquatches, just seemingly that one fellow.

It was like bigfoot came for a little vacation, and went on its way.

Add to this the many stories of bigfoot that included other strange details.  If you followed the Blogsquatcher blog, you know about these now.  There were associations with UFOs, paranormal effects, telepathic communication -- the kind of stuff that only "kooks" believe, you know?"
I hear that they may not even use "Bigfoot researchers" but use big game hunters. I could not object more. Safari is a wonderful thing when you are only photographing and studying the animals. I have never harmed an animal (only for food and self defense).

Bigfoot hunters?
Almost any topic can be made interesting. PBS made science very interesting when they said it could not be done. There is even a top rated show about a pawn shop that is fantastic. This Bigfoot kill does not have to happen.

Canada may refuse their crews entry if hunting is their purpose. Perhaps backlash from animal rights groups or the work Todd Standing is doing should be called upon. License may not be granted on American soil if killing an unknown animal could be a potential homicide. Human DNA wold make it murder.

My guess is they may have difficulty finding people. If you are not in the Bigfoot world, you may not think its possible to find a Bigfoot. So why bother? They would want to be payed up front and they won't come cheap. Rogue warriors may make compelling TV but will not add anything to the research. In fact, it will make the real footers look callow and spineless.

I see nothing to gained from this. Finding Bigfoot has actually increased awareness and interest in Bigfoot. That is a positive. This show would further cement in peoples minds that it is findable. Its not. We simply must understand what we are actually looking for.

Terror on Pygmy Island (Adventures of Team Quantra)

Hi, I am Ed Smith.

What follows is what happened leading up to one of the most important scientific discoveries in world history. It involves military, industrial and corporate concerns, as well as, the sighting of a Sasquatch. Let me explain.

It all began when I was watching a recent YouTube video in the rather ubiquitous genre of "peeking Bigfoot videos." was supposed to show a Sasquatch. It only shows, however, branches and shadows and not much else. Fifty one seconds in which I could have been holding a women's hand or reading passage in a fine book. But the lure of possibility overcame my more urbain elements. So I watched, as heartache and betrayal in a fleeting instant reminded me of my own qwest for the elusive. Then, the phone rang. It was Mr. Alexander of Team Quantra.

Quantra had been contacted under MOS Safari 64 cryptid code Zebra. That meant an African operation. It was a level six contact which meant no turning back because National security was at stake.

Maj. Kingsly with locals
We would soon be in Africa on a rescue mission of an Army Major Ann Kingsly. The Major was looking for a tribe that had found a vegetation they were using as rope that seemed to have no combustion or breaking point. The government originally believed it was myth but subsequent contacts with Kingsly assured O-6 the the plant was real, and had qualities unlike anything known to science.

The industrial and military applications of such were immense. The fear was industrialist had already made their way in to parry our activities. Greed is a never ending motivation and international corporations would risk the farm to posses that plant, if it were determined real.

It was unknown if the Major had met with foul play, or simply vanished. We would soon find out.

My party and I had arrived at a clearing near the Congo River (last known position of the officer) and set up base camp. I had been there years ago, and was somewhat familiar with the land. We then began an excursion into the research area when we realized we were being observed. Something was peering from behind the trees. Known cannibals were in the region so we were on high alert.

They charged suddenly with spears and we took flight. Even though we were armed, we were not there to harm anyone. We were explorers, not soldiers (a similar thing happened in Nepal with Loren and I a decade ago).

For miles we were chased deep into the jungle, until their limited ambition to be scavenged themselves led them away. At least I thought. Heading back, we saw why they ran. A native was lying dead on the jungle floor. He had been mauled but by what we could not tell.

Upon searching is possessions, we found Army dog tags with Major Kingsly's name on them. We feared she had meet a horrible demise. There was still hope of finding her but we must press on. Also, there were strands of rope on him that were made from a strange looking plant. Could this be the wonder plant, I asked Mr. Alexander (He is are team engineer).

The African Sasquatch
On the way out of area something strange began to happen. We heard loud breaking of branches a good distance from us. It was as if someone was forcibly making the noise. I have been on safari many times and had never  heard anything like this.

Out of the foliage I saw it. It made its way across a clearing and it was no ape. I am very familiar with apes. It was much taller then a man and covered with hair. It could not hide behind a tree but was now in the open. We did not experience fear; we did not try to run. It was gone; we returned to camp. We seemed afraid to speak for it would only call into question our entire belief systems of what is possible and what is real.

There was so much more to do and we needed our rest. Where the industrialist in area? Was the Major still alive? What really made the Pygmies run away when they had us in their sites? What was that human like thing that crossed our path? We had more questions then answers and we were supposed to provide answers. This was now a turning point for us. Science, military and government activities had collided. I could not have been happier.

Back at camp my chief engineer, Mr Alenxander, told me the rope was indeed inflammable and unbreakable. While subjecting it too testing, he found out it also conducted electricity. What a discovery we had confirmed! A celebration was in order.

I just happened to have a twenty year old Pinot Grigio on hand. Combined with a Montecristo, the air was soon filled with the bougie' of fine wine and Cuban tobacco. All was well.

Coming up: Find out what happened to the Major. Find out what that animal was. Find out if there is military importance to the jungle plant. Will science, military or corporate greed win out?

Let us begin this journey

Thank you, kindly, for stopping by. I am Jim Jungle and I have searched the darkness of Africa, and the wilds of Asia, for elusive cryptids. My sojourn has taken me around the world (not in 80 days, however). I know many in this unique vocation. I love them, dearly.

This work tries men's souls as they storm the Ramparts of possibility with broken whisky bottle in hand. They are ready to pounce for history's sake. They are mere mortals in a heroic effort.

Applause if you dare.

My work has taught me man has far to go in this quest. Constructs of knowledge are in their infancy. Plato taught us much on how the obtainment of the unknowable will be derived.

The world is full of strange and unusual things. Not all is clear and in focus. Much of observable  knowledge is abstract, and formless. Rational can derive equations of invisability, yet, demand clear vantage to points that transend observance. A new paradigm to a crypto science can yield the clarity we seek.

We must live, learn, and grow.
